Sandi Abel

Principal

Hi my name is Sandi Abel and I am the Principal of Oceanview Heights School. I have a teaching component in the school and relieve in the classes on occasions. I am also the Lead School Principal for our Aoraki RTLB Cluster 37. I am passionate about our school and we pride ourselves on the quality teaching and learning we provide at the school, as well as the quality relationships with our families and whānau.

Kia ora koutou. My name is Rose (Mrs Rose) and I am teaching in Room 1. I am really looking forward to getting to know everyone and having a fun year with your children. I have taught in the Junior School for a few years and was previously a kindergarten teacher in Southland. I have three adult children and six grandchildren. I am passionate about our environment, physical education as well as Dyslexia and Autism. I also really enjoy teaching Reading and Art.

Hello, I am Mrs. Priyanka and it is an immense pleasure to be part of Oceanview Heights. I cherish the work environment with the lovely team to encourage the growth and development of young learners in such a loving and caring environment. I hold a degree in Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honors with Distinction) & Bachelor of Education from overseas and a handful of work experience from overseas & Auckland. We have a 12 year old son, a flute artist. During my spare time, I love to indulge myself in craft activities, browsing fun ideas , playing badminton , and singing . Last but not least is a brisk walk with my sausage dog Jerry. I am really enjoying the journey of working with the great team leaders and wonderful colleagues at Oceanview Heights to help our young students learn and grow!

Kia ora koutou! No Tūranganui-a-Kiwa ahau. Ko Beth ahau. He kaiako au i te Ruma Kirikiri/2! My name is Beth Torrie and I am the teacher in Room 2/Kirikiri. I have just moved to this beautiful town from the North Island and feel lucky to see the maunga/mountains from my classroom and the moana/ocean from the field everyday. Our akomanga/classroom is always open, nau mai haere mai, come and check out your tamariki/children learning!

Talofa lava! My name is Shannon Beatson. I am the kaiako in Ruma 3 - Whenua. I love spending time with my friends, whānau and cats! Reading is my favourite thing to do in my spare time. I am passionate about sports and love to see tamariki being active and involved in the sporting community.

Hi my name is Vicky Lambert. I live here in Timaru with my husband and two daughters. I love spending time with my family, we go for walks, watch movies and play a lot of mini golf. Maths and Science are my favourite subjects to teach.

Kia ora everyone. My name is Tessa Cooper. I have moved down from Christchurch, and now I live in Cave. I have been a teacher for many years. My favourite subjects to teach are Maths and English. I think that Timaru is absolutely beautiful, especially the view from OVH school, where we have a view of the sea and the mountains!
